You're so closed off' Like that shut window to stop the draft? Or maybe a box with a lock to hold the secrets? I won't apologise for my mystery It's the one thing keeping me steady It burns like the fire I light to keep me warm at night But at least you won't see me despairing Could you forgive me maybe? Everyday is a little more weary I find it hard to leave my bed To eat, to sleep, and to repeat it all again Maybe I should apologise for my mistakes I never ment them but they happen anyway It's hard to see myself in the mirror Those scars are getting more clearer Theres no comfort in leaving the house I wish I could hide like a mouse All I do is paint my face With colourful brushes and plasted flowers Maybe even some fake grace But it will never change my doomed fate I think that was my worst mistake Thinking 'Hey, maybe it will change' I ain't no poet, or someone who writes fancy song's But I find comfort in what I'm doing Even if no one likes these depressing tongues Even as I shed my tears Words on paper still appear Hopefully maybe, Someone will find comfort in these poetical lyrics
