Me to Me
This is a quiet conversation I have with myself when the world isn’t watching. I promise to stay away from drugs— not because I don’t feel pain, but because I refuse to numb it and call that healing. I’m not choosing relationships right now. Some seasons require distance, not affection. I need direction before attachment. I am an average student, and I’ve made peace with that. My worth was never meant to be measured by ranks. I don’t dream of iPhones or bikes. What I want can’t be displayed— calm mornings, and sleep without regret. Cinema understands me. Stories help me feel what I don’t always know how to say. In screens and silence, I find myself breathing again. I choose simplicity, because too much has already weighed me down. Less desire, less noise— more room to stand upright. And this matters most: I will never burden my parents for luxury they struggled to afford. Their sacrifices deserve respect, not demands. This isn’t ambition reduced. This is integrity intact. Me, choosing honesty over applause— even when no one understands.
