Me and the Reaper's Song
I have been told by my teacher before I romanize the macabre I take the horrid and ugly And fall in love I must be the grim reaper's only fan For without him I'm out of ideas But the reason behind my ability is sad I've had to live with death all my life And like the childhood friend it is I learn to love it for its differences To write about death so lovingly I have learned to not fear it or be sad Death isn't this big bad thing It's poetic Not sad So when the reaper comes to take me home Bury me deep below Plant flowers over my head And know Me and the reaper Are in love once again
