Me
A symphony of voices, yet my song goes unheard in the music of life, I'm a solitary bird. Smiling at strangers, I wear my heart on a sleeve, Yet why do no ears heed my silent pleas? So in the dark of night, when everyone fade's, I bleed on the paper, my monsters on display. Each word a confession, a tear unseen, Glimpses of people i wish i could've been. In the stillness when the people fade, I burn the letters that whisper their names. Ashes fly away, like words never shared, Longing for comfort, for someone who cares. "I'll always be there" i hear you say, but why, when i need you, you're miles away? Are yours the hands that could hold me tight? To silence the storms and welcome the light? For in every giggle, in each playful jest, There’s a soul that's had enough, a soul seeking rest. Finally, the irony cuts—Am i sunshine in their eyes? I guess the miserable hearts wear the happiest guise.
