Maybe I'm to blame.
Maybe I'm to blame For every time you cheated Treated me with indifference Neglected me, left me feeling empty. It's all my fault For not being enough Not beautiful enough Not worthy of love. Maybe I'm to blame For loving too much Sharing my deepest insecurities Believing you'd protect me But you exploited my vulnerability. Maybe I'm to blame For this imperfect face And undesirable body Failing to satisfy your needs And left you seeking elsewhere. If only I were like the other girls You would have stayed, accepted me But my innocence, my fragility Were weaknesses you couldn't tolerate. I should have been stronger More confident, more captivating But I wasn't, and now I'm left To pick up the pieces of my shattered heart For after all, I'm to blame.
