"Maybe I Need to Remember”2
I listened. God, I listened so well. But when my turn came, I had no stories. No spark. Just silence. Like I’d forgotten My own life, Like I’d been erased From my own narrative. I smiled. Nodded. Not pretending— Just empty. Like a doll in the corner That learned how to breathe But not how to speak. And their words clung to me— Dreams, truths, wounds, Perspectives full of light. And I thought: Maybe I’m not broken— Just quieted beneath the noise. Not shattered, but shelved. Not empty, but buried. Not forgotten— Just waiting to be *recalled*. I don’t know if I need to learn more, Or if I just need to *Remember who I was* Before I buried myself In silence. ---
