I recall it like it was yesterday, the news broke out, and the entire room was filled with every rare emotion; we all tried to stay strong only to fill the room with tears of regret, sorrow, and fear of the unknown. Why would God do such? He must have a motive as to why this occurred, I suppose, to teach us a lesson. But then again why let the innocent suffer? At that exact moment, I felt my stomach drop, and for a split second, I could not distinguish if I was stuck between a dream and reality. Maybe life isn't worth living if I'm gradually pacing towards death. Maybe the end for us is nearer than we expect, maybe it's just waiting for us around the corner or looking at us from across the room, or maybe sitting next to us on our way to school, work, or back home just lingering and ready to strike on command. I recall it like it was seconds ago, and I hate that this is the last memory you have left me with. I hope to see you on the other side of the curtain cause I'm certain that every hourglass is slowly turning.
