Matter
Looks don't matter to me But it matters to everyone else. Though I hope you see within and stay - else, I'd struggle to cope if you stray. The thought of what anyone thinks doesn't cloud my mind But what should I do if beauty to you DOES matter The decisions I pick to make you flatter? I can't turn my horrid smile to one that outshines the sun. I drowned in the myth that love finds beauty in anything ugly . But they never looked at the back of the trees they turned around to, That something rotten is glowing , Just behind their back they know is spreading.
