Materialistic Love
The clock strikes 1 midnight, and I find myself still awake. Tossing and turning, thinking about the decision that I have made. Was it love or fate. Or was it just a baite of reality that's at state. The loads of gifts make it seem special. Some gifts were big, some small but the gift of heart was the best of it all. Therefore thy wonder, Was the best gift ever given, or was I a bother Still, I remain lying on that bed Reminiscing the day that just ends I remember as i sat next to him at the passenger seat His phone rang, and I heard a sweet greet My heart raised, and I couldn't hold my tears This is so unfair as if I was in the game of spears. I looked at him ,and his eyes couldn't lock with mine My thoughts of loving him just vanished as I whined The pain in my chest brought me back to reality I realized he never loved me a, I lost my dignity His soothing yet sweet words echo in my head But the taste of betrayal taste bitter than death. The clock strikes 2,and yet I'm still awake Wrapped in the thoughts of a heart that could break If the best gift was love, pure and true Then why do I feel like I'm lost without you?
