MASTER OF MY FATE
In the depths of my soul, a heavy weight I bear, Regret and guilt, like shadows, always there. Sadness and unhappiness, my constant companions, Alone in my struggles, facing life's cruel demands. Some people only stay for what they can gain, Leaving me feeling empty, filled with pain. I'm tired, I'm finished, I can't go on, The burden of being first-born, with a jobless head of family, feels like a con. Younger siblings relying on me, too much to bear, Friends growing weary of my constant despair. Luck seems to elude me, tears won't cease to fall, I feel like I'm drowning, suffocating in it all. I'll wipe away the tears, stand tall and strong, No longer will I let guilt and regret prolong. I'll find my own path, carve out my own fate, And rise above the challenges that life may create. So here I stand, a warrior in the night, Ready to face whatever comes, with all my might. I may be tired, I may be alone, But I'll never give up, for my spirit has grown. I'll conquer my demons, break free from the chains, And emerge victorious, despite life's pains. For I am a first-born, with a fire in my soul, And I'll never let anything or anyone take control.
