MASK OF PERFECTION
A mask of perfection, I wear with grace A flawless facade, a smile in its place But beneath the surface, a storm rages on A turmoil of emotions, forever strong I'm trapped in this prison, of precision and might A gilded cage, where I'm forced to take flight From the flaws and imperfections, that make me human and real A constant struggle, to conceal and conceal The weight of perfection, is crushing me down A burden to bear, in this endless town Where every step, every move, is scrutinized and judged A never-ending quest, to be forever adjusted But what lies beneath, this mask of perfection and pride? A soul that's screaming, to be free and alive To be flawed and imperfect, to be human and real To break free from this chains, and let my true self feel.
