Married To My Mind
My mind is responsible for my thoughts and feelings But I allowed my heart to make most of my decisions I dragged myself and listened to the sweet sounding melody of your lips And I melted like a marshmellow placed on fire for sweet burnt taste My mind reminded me of how I was easily fooled Yet my heart said;Give it a try darling, he might be the one Now I seat with regret knowing that my heart as bailed me again Seated by the corner of my bed I cuddle myself and reminisce all night I turn to my mind, hoping for help, As my heart bleeds so badly such that it cannot balance up with my mind Few weeks, months down the line, I'm all good Trying my luck once again, but my mind pulls me down eventually turning off all my efforts without a sign I said I'm okay, that I can handle life, but my mind flashes back every image back to my sight Draining every emotional energy I have left I reminisce all day long and remember That I'm married to my mind.
