marionette's mother
I am like a puppet, the one with strings everyone around me has one and is trying to control me pulling me every way, not knowing how close I am to breaking they think they are making art, but they're really tearing me apart I am performing a tragic tale, but the audience is laughing I am crying, but they... they are laughing I am like Pinocchio except when i lie, my nose doesn't grow just the hole inside of me the hole they dug so deep that everyone can see so there is no privacy as a puppet my every move is seen not one goes unnoticed and I know she read this as I wrote it not one move is entirely my own when they let go of the strings, I fell not knowing what to do bc not one thought or action I have done has ever not included you now I am broken you set me on a shelf waiting to fix me waiting for me to be what you need me to be but I am just a puppet now dangling from a single string and when you cry and when you wipe your tears jusr remember this marionette had to have a puppeteer and she she was my mother
