5:00 pm on a beautiful March Monday. The breeze wafts the smell of life through the open window. Embrace the open flame with a first name, glass to flame; that sudden rush. Steady chasing after the first clutch. Many moons and a thousand years, I fell victim, the pain and mistakes was clear. Like my open window, the outside held fears. Embrace the days with chemicals and fungus, to escape the decay of yesterday; I chase that same dragon through soot and aluminum my brain releases into a sweet escape through open fields of drugs displayed. victim to the decisions of yesterday. Choices and words replayed again. Memories no longer embraced, soon displaced. Laced with fentanyl and rock cocaine. The devil lay awake naked; with holes, punctures and scrapes.
