Mama
You call her mama, I call her mommy, To you she's just a mother but to me shes my knight in shining armor, You're mother will love you at your best times and even when they put you in a ward with patients as sick as Jeffery Dammer, She loves me now she's loved me then, she is not just a mother but she's my best friend, she's the only woman who will go through pain for you and your strength to be regained, She will put her standards down just to see you smile and not frown, her love for you is a love so pure, a love so kind, A love like that is a love you are blessed with, a love like that is not easily found, and from day one is sure was one indeed profound, My mum ran through alleys to save me, like a man, oh mama oh mama where's daddy? Mummy can't answer but I can, He called my son not his blood just to wipe his face clean, clean from all the mud, oh dad yes I'm a stud, but I can be a mum, a mum to a boy sent to me from above, oh dad I'm so numb, I chose to love myself as I am numb, I need to be strong for mum, I need to be wise like her and not be dumb, dumb as you, My mother needs an apology, an apology from us, because she did not deserve it but we made her a part of our painful story.
