Make it Stop
I can hear the neighbors They are having a party I don't mind it I have music on I like to have music when I read That is what I'm doing The dog is walking by my door I hear her collar jingle Jingle, jingle, jingle I hear the neighbors I hear the dog I hear the music I am trying to read I don't like it I turn off my music I close my book The dog starts to run More music is playing Is the tune from my neighbors? Could it be from my dad? I don't know, it all sounds like one It's starting to hurt I hear my dad in the kitchen making noise I'm covering my ears I'm holding on so tight Make it stop, make it stop I hear the dog I hear the music I hear the neighbors I hear my dad Make it stop, make it stop I call my friend Desperate for peace I tell her how I can hear the dog I can hear the music I can hear my dad I can hear the neighbors And I was trying to read I want it to stop, I want it to stop Then the dog sits down The neighbors take the party inside My dad finishes what he's doing And the music turns off Now it is just me, My friend, And my thoughts It's finally over
