Maiden in Limbo
Through the city's tumultuous tide she strode, A maiden with aspirations, her heart aglow, To the bus stop she hastened, her destination near, A ride to her future, casting aside fear. With a deft hand, she relinquished her fare, A bus ticket, a token to share, She embarked upon the bus, its rhythmic sway, Hypnotizing her thoughts, as the world ebbed away. But a sudden trepidation, a heart's piercing cry, Her ticket and phone, vanished from sight, A frenzied search, her hands trembling, A chilling revelation, her soul trembling. The bus continued its course, oblivious to her plight, Ensnared in a limbo, between day and night, She gazed around, her eyes wide and stark, The other passengers, mere specters, a ghostly ark. The realization dawned, a truth so stark, A truck's merciless collision, a life's dark mark, Her spirit lingered, in this transit zone, A maiden in limbo, forever alone. The bus rolled on, its journey unending, A poignant reminder of life's fragility, its swift ending, And there she remained, a soul unclaimed, In the realm of limbo, forever unnamed.
