Madness in the Poisoned Mirror
In the depths where shadows coil, I lose my mind, my thoughts unspoil, A fractured maze, where echoes scream, And nightmares twist into a dream. The faces leering, eyes like knives, They carve away my last disguise, Toxic words like venom seep, Into the wounds I cannot keep.Their voices blend in twisted song, A chorus where I don’t belong, Each lie they speak, a sharpened blade, That carves my sanity, unmade. The walls close in, they press and fold, My thoughts, a swarm, both hot and cold, I reach for light, but find only dark, A flame snuffed out, no final spark.Their laughter rings, it mocks my pain, A dance of scorn in acid rain, I watch as reason slips and fades, In poisoned minds and broken shades.I try to scream, but no sound leaves, My voice is trapped in webs they weave, And every word they hurl with spite, Is a noose that tightens in the night.I see their faces, twisted grins, Their cruelty like a thousand pins, Each one a thorn within my brain, Each one a link in madness’ chain.I claw at walls that don’t exist, A phantom in a toxic mist, Where every breath’s a fight to live, But there’s no peace they’ll ever give.So here I stand, on madness’ brink, With poisoned thoughts too dark to think, And as I fall
