Maa's Dream
Today again, the thought came by, Of you, dear Maa, I won’t deny. Your laugh, your tears, your loving way, They haunt my heart every single day. You used to say, You won't survive Without me here to guide your life. And Maa, somehow you were right I’ve lost some peace, I’ve lost some light. I’ve tried it all, just like you said, Though sometimes lost, I’ve always led. I strayed a bit, but not too far, Still chasing dreams where you now are. I’m holding on to what you dreamed, To make it true, or so it seemed. It’s simple now no in-between: I’ll make it real, or leave the scene. If you were here, each win would shine, But now they feel so dim, not mine. Without you, Maa, they seem so small, With you, I’d feel ten feet tall.
