Luminary

A man who wants to escape runs away. A man who wants to feel loved creates stories in his mind. A man who wants to live in another reality reads. He reads the books from the past, written by those with an overactive imagination. He will run into fantasy with no hesitation and never looks back. He abandons what is “real” and goes into a world filled with adventure. He explores the mind of another. The words are not words anymore but they are filled with life. The blurred lines of ink on the page turn into a flurry of color and soul. Those who watch him say he is crazy, a fanatic. “He doesn’t do anything, he always has his nose stuck in some book!” They scorn. They don’t see what he sees. They don’t see the safety and warmth of another reality. They don’t see the joy he feels being whisked off to a far away place. They don’t see the whimsical world he lives in when he is not vacationing in everyday life. A man who wants to feel free runs. A man who wants to be loved makes a relationship with the characters from stories. A man who wants to disappear from reality as we know it reads.
