Loving You Hurts
Loving you was the easy part. I could gaze at a night sky full of stars and still find the brightest ones shining within your eyes. It was in the soft laughter you always hated, a sound that was sweeter than honey to me, and the way the moon danced across your skin while you slept beside me. Your smile could light up the room, even on the stormiest of days. Yes, loving you was effortless, but losing you is an agony I never wanted to know. It is waking up to the emptiness on your side of the bed, finding your scent faded from the pillow, and watching the colors of my world wash out to dull greys. Now, the honey has turned bitter, and the moon hides nightly.
