Loving you alone
Can't you see how lonely I have been, How quietly I've streched within ? My loneliness doesn't ask for love It asks for care, enough to live on. While one of us gives all they have, the other only stands and watches. If it isn't love you offer, can't it atleast be a promise. You can find a face more pleasing than mine, But will it be more pleasing than this man's poetry, That loves you like the moon loves the night. I doubt it..!! I am a fallen leaf of Oak in autumn fallen, unnoticed, fading to dust. That died without getting noticed. You are- the leaf of cherry blossom in bloom 🌸 Soft, pink, delicate, and impossibly beautiful. That catches everyone's eyes. I do not beg—yet I cannot turn away. I know I am not who you once imagined… but if you let me stay, I could become everything you ever asked for.
