Love's Embrace
In the depths of my soul, I found love's embrace, A promise of togetherness, a beautiful space. But alas, my dear, you shattered it all, Leaving me to face the darkness, alone in the hall. You whispered sweet nothings, words so sincere, Assuring me that I need not have any fear. But now I lay here, in my bed all alone, Tears streaming down my face, my heart turned to stone. The nights grow colder, as I toss and turn, Yearning for your touch, a love I yearn. But you, my love, you left me in despair, Leaving behind broken promises, a love so unfair. I dreamt of forever, of a life side by side, But now I'm left with memories, tears I can't hide. I gave you my heart, my trust, my soul, But you took it all away, leaving an empty hole. Yet, through the pain, I'll find strength to mend, To heal the wounds that you caused, my dear friend. For love may have faltered, but I'll rise above, And find the courage to sleep alone, to find self-love. So here I am, standing tall and strong, No longer dependent on your love's song. I'll find happiness within, in my own embrace, And learn to sleep alone, in this newfound space.
