Love's Deceptive Glow
In love's bright haze, I danced so free, Blinded eyes, I failed to see, His gentle words, a deceitful art, Concealing wounds, tearing me apart. In shadows cast by sweet romance, I missed the signs, the subtle dance, His tender touch, a disguised pain, Love's illusion, a bitter refrain. Through rose-tinted glasses, I viewed, The bruises hidden, emotions subdued, Blinded by love's deceptive light, I failed to see the endless night. His actions cruel, disguised in grace, A toxic love, a cold embrace, Yet in my heart, a blindness reigned, As silent tears fell, love unchained. Awakening slowly from this spell, Love's true colors begin to swell, The pain exposed, the truth unveiled, In healing grace, my strength regaled.
