Lover of love
Love is but a concept, Yet so many seek its presence. The mystery in those words, And the strength of the bond that it possesses. The promise of deep affection, Of being loved and loving in return. But it is only a concept, No two hearts beat as one. Perhaps the real beauty lies In the search for that ideal, And in the hope that it exists. So keep searching, my friend, For only love makes you whole. Love was something so elusive, A concept I could barely fathom. Not the kiss or the caress, But the tender sweetness of being cherished. Falling in love with the idea, Never with the person nor the affair. Falling in love with the concept, Of loving and being loved again.
