Lover
You know, it's hard being a lover, Spreading love, kindness, support to others, Not to care about oneself, because, that's what lovers do, right? Come to the rescue when their loved ones are in the dark and become a knight? Give everything up about one's own life to be the shield of those one likes Even though the truth is, No one cares how the shield is Yet one smiles through the pain, To not worry or burden Cause one might be the shield in the war, But one's useless once broken Belonging in the trash afar One will live one's life as all for the others Others will give one's life to save a feather And that feather might not be worth a single dime, But it's still worth more than one's life And if one ever breaks, One will become weak, And others will find another lover To replace one's beak Never for once have one had others turn back at their protector, Because that's the cost of being a lover So anyone can be a hater, But it's hard being a lover From my book "The Pain of Existence"
