Love that lied
I thought love was forever true, that in his words, honesty always grew. He wrote to me first, lit a spark in my heart, and I believed him more than he ever played his part. He fell for me, or so it seemed, but his wandering eyes betrayed my dream. Left with sorrow, my heart torn apart, clinging to messages that once warmed my heart. But I’ll save my tears, they’re not for him, not for a boy whose love was dim. I’ll wait for a man, steadfast and true, whose heart beats only for me, not for a few. I want a love pure, without deceit, eyes that meet mine, steady and sweet. But deep inside, I fear the day, when such a love might drift away.
