love letter to a scar
your colors reign of red and purple. red, caused by your healing, purple, caused by my hurt. you were born in the lowest of my loss. but when you bled, the pain left through you. but when I brought the pain back, I gave you more- more blood to take from me. I picked your scab like I was trying to stop you from leaving, to keep you bleeding, to keep giving you more, even when I couldn't handle it. the blood ran out like a dripping faucet, that I wished would never stop- so you could take all I had left, inside this body with many scars healed, and many left to come. I learned that I gave you too much, I gave you power and Grace, like you were supposed to stay forever. but I don't want you anymore, I don't want you to stay, but I can't get rid of you.
