LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD
Love is a battlefield, a war that rages on Between two lovers, who once swore to be one But now their hearts are torn, their souls at war Forgetting the love they had, before the battles of amour They were once madly in love, two hearts entwined But now they fight, forgetting the memories that bind With every word, they lash out in pain Hurting each other, again and again Their love used to be a peaceful shore But now it's a battlefield, chaotic and raw They fight for control, for who's right and wrong Forgetting that love is where they both belong In the midst of the war, they lose sight Of the love that once burned so bright They forget the laughter, the joy they shared And only focus on the wounds they have bared But in the heat of battle, something begins to stir For deep down inside, they both feel the blur Of anger and hurt, but also love's flame And they realize, it's not a war they should claim For love is not a battlefield, but a gentle dance Where two lovers sway in a romantic trance They must let go of their weapons, set aside their pride And come together, side by side For in the end, it's a battle they both can't win And love will be the casualty, it's a deadly sin
