Love Held In Waiting
I step aside while the world drifts by, Watching life through a haze of quiet sighs. No rush, no chase, no desperate flee Just learning the pieces of who I’m meant to be. I cherish our memories, tender, aching, Each one a pulse my chest keeps breaking. Not goodbye, just a fragile, trembling pause, Till I am whole enough to follow love’s laws. I tend my soul where the shadows cling, Mend the fractures only time can bring. For now, I bleed, I stumble, I see The person I long to be, the one you deserve to see. So this is me, in silence and in pain, Taking time to grow through the strain. To heal, to rise, to find what’s true, So I can someday give my all to you.
