LOVE DIDN'T HURT YOU
In a world where love can bring both joy and pain, There lies a truth that we must understand again. Love itself, it does not bring hurt or harm, But rather, it is the person who may cause alarm. For love is a gentle and tender embrace, A feeling that can bring a smile to one's face. It is the warmth that fills our hearts so deep, A connection that is meant to cherish and keep. But sometimes, in the midst of this beautiful dance, We encounter those who don't know how to advance. They may claim to love, but their actions prove untrue, Leaving scars and wounds that can make us feel blue. Yet, let us not confuse the two, my dear, Love and hurt are not one and the same, it's clear. Love is a beacon, a guiding light in the dark, While hurt is the absence of love, leaving its mark. So when you face pain and feel love's sting, Remember, it's not love's fault, but the person's doing. Hold onto the belief that true love will come your way, And heal the wounds that others may have caused today. Love didn't hurt you, it's important to see, Someone who doesn't know how to love caused the injury. So keep your heart open, let love's light shine through, And may it bring you the happiness and love you're due. Romique
