Love Came to Me
Love came to me in the most unexciting way, no slow motions, no blinding lights, just an awkward smile, and a soft “hello”. Love came to me not by a thrilling roller coaster, but more like a boring bus, no exciting ups and downs, just a curvy but stable path. Our love is never extraordinary but not ordinary at all. No magic, no rainbows, no constant surprises, only a secure feeling and pure happiness, not wanting for more, not wanting anyone else but us. Ours, is a love that lasts with strong foundation of friendship and deep respect, an honest love, with a little allowance for mistakes. No butterflies in the stomach, just hearts at ease. And no, we’re not lost in each other’s eyes, We found home instead. @Reddragonfly (written years ago ~ to my better half)
