Love Addiction
I remember the feeling of love. The butterflies in my stomach erupting. I've heard love is like a dove. I remember when love was in a way revolting. That couple in the hall. Pressing each other on the wall. I remember the addiction. Feeling of breathlessness untill they were near. I used to believe that love was nonfiction. I remember the words without a meaning. 'I love you.' escaped his lips. The meaning of the words were fleeting. I remember the way they grabbed my hips. The same way my heart got stuck in my throat. I remember longing for it like coming up for air. After being under water stuck under a boat. The sweet relief was almost too much to bare. I remember my love addiction was too strong. It didn't matter what happened. Because both could do no wrong. I remember it was my life but them who captained. Being told wonders of love. Then love being ripped away. Love is like a dove. In an addictive way. We see beauty in the world, yet hate the same. Yet the way we push and pull away. We see love and life as something to tame. But if love is an addiction, then shouldn't we treat it the same? Or should we be the one's to change?
