Love
Love is something everyone searches for the eternal flame, the flower that forever blooms. What if you reach that flame, find that flower, and it's a weed in disguise, a trick candle that flickers a sputters out. What if it takes years for that candle to flicker out, or for the flower to finally wilt. I've found that pyrite; the fools gold, and it truly does make you feel as if you were a fool all along. Love is a tricky thing that even someone as young as I have already realized. Maybe Im not ready for love, maybe it's not ready for me. Maybe I'm the wilting flower someone thinks is eternal. I am that wilting flower, who's just not ready to be eternal. A wilting flower trying to become eternal and get better before it blooms. A wilting flower waiting to bloom and seeing others bloom around her.
