Love
He lay on the cold grass, As the evening dew creeped up his back, And he watched the moon grace the sky, With its sole star gracefully tagging behind, And he thought he saw a pleasant sight.... A sight not of the starry night sky, But of her ghost, a mirage, like a reflection, Embedded deep in his memory, And he remembered her smile, How it always made his face a red hue.... And he saw her gaze, her beautiful brown eyes, That always seemed to hold secrets deep, And yet always had more to say , Each time he drowned in them... And as the lone star follows the moon, He would follow her, with grace, To the darkest of realms, to the ends of the world, Just to hold her one more time, In a final embrace.
