Love
My faith in you is as dead as my hope Burnt out and gone away Like the old light in your eyes When we used to be happy I think it must have been centuries ago And I'm not really sure that was even us Bc a hate so daunting and huge Must take lifetimes to create The only thing I know anymore is that being awake means wishing I weren't Because being awake means being in pain And what started out as love Has become the enemy And I'm being crushed beneath its weight What an ironic and depressing kind of funny The way this invisible force compels me To fight with all I've got to never let go of the thing feeding me daily doses of misery and inspiring me to meet the Reaper on my time instead of his Hopeless romantic Hopeless addict Hopelessly addicted to you and our shared toxic obsession Perpetually angry Failed and disappointed Every day just a bit more bitter Bad wife Wasted life We're all thinking the same thing: Junkie is the only skin that will ever really fit her What doesn't kill you makes you stronger No What doesn't kill you leaves you begging it to because I can attest- Relief is a myth Just like chasing the dragon But death would be a gift
