Lost Souls
In dusky dawn, they tread on icy ground, Lost souls wander, seeking what isn't found. Forgotten dreams float on the midnight air, In empty hearts, despair holds them ensnared. Through winding streets, their footsteps make no sound, Echoes of hope fade, as darkness abounds. They search for solace, for love that's been misplaced, But shadows deepen, obscuring each trace. Each weary figure, a reflection of the past, Marked by unseen scars, memories held fast. In a haunting dance, their steps intertwine, A symphony of pain, a mournful, shared line. Their eyes cast downward, avoiding what's above, Afraid of the heavens and the lack thereof. Yet, within their hearts, a flicker still remains, A longing for redemption, release from chains. Silent whispers linger, held by streetlight's glow, A chorus of lost souls, a torrential flow. In every crevice, hints of a forgotten world, Where souls were whole, where joy unfurled. But now they wander, seeking what they've lost, Creating a tapestry of silence, cost by cost. Yet, let us not forget, amidst their endless quest, That even the lost souls can still be blessed. For in their search, they may find the way, To reclaim what's theirs, to find the light of day. A
