Lost Light
In city streets, where shadows play, A scream was heard, one fateful day. A life lost, a soul torn away, Leaving scars that never fade. A flower bloomed, with promise bright, Cut down by darkness, endless night. Innocence shattered, heart's light Extinguished, leaving only pain. Memories linger, tears remain, A city weeps, in sorrow's stain. Justice sought, voices raise For the lost, and endless pain. May her memory never fade, May love conquer the darkest shade. May we stand, united and strong, Against violence, all day long. ~Pramiti Mukherjee
