lost in words
I think you were too beautiful to be mine, And I was too scarred to be yours, Your beauty was something that always lit up the sky, While I was trapped in a darkness which I couldn't hide, Our hearts collided but had different destinies, Our love was just a moment and flew away like a fleeting dream, We were worlds apart, you were the day and the night was mine, When our hearts interwined, it just did not feel right, Your eyes were ocean deep with thousands of secrets untold, I had a storm raging inside my body which I couldn't control, Your light was too bright for a heart so fragile like mine, I was too lost in my own shadow trying to fight, We sang different melodies, to drummer's sound, Our love was like a rhythm which was not found, We were two souls searching for love and to call it our own, But our timing was off, and we couldn't find our way back home, You were the star that shone so divine, But I was too wounded for its radiance to be called mine.
