Lost in words
The sun sets and the dark dawns, and the world slows down The noise around us is no longer there, just a lonely girl Paper and pen in her hand, trying to piece up what her heart says But her heart has a different idea, use the dark of the night as a canvas Paint , put together a message the brain couldn't understand A medium, a way to let the brain know that it's not easy I see her, staring at the blank paper in her hand Tears streaming down her face, muffled sobs shattering her chest Words don't seem enough to heal her hurt She's broken and bruised, she feels cheated She wipes her tears, off to bed Waiting for the sun to rise The secrets and pain of the night hidden Waiting like a ghost to haunt her One day it'll get better, one day, someday, not today
