Lost in Thoughts
An Eighth grader, lost in her thoughts, She misses the self, she once had sought. The times her laughter are still genuine and free. But in her eyes a shadow stirs — a distant plea. In the mirror she searches for clues — the girl she once was, with dreams to choose. The hate she feels for what's been torn and left behind, Is tangled in the hope that might soothe and calm her mind. but sometimes she can't help but feel caught between who she's been and who's she's becoming — lost within.
