Lost In Her Fantasies
The day is done Your body is worn Sitting at home Reseeing the day You see how you could have changed How you could have had a better day But it's to late now So get lost in your fantasies You long for others to see, To understand you To give you a hug And say, your not okay But no one can do that, And if they can, they won't So you read a book Or listen to music Anything to help you Get away from reality Physically, your there Mentally, your lost in your fantasies These characters in the books, Or the songs, they understand They have had trauma, And no one to listen to them, So they express it in writing, But me? To weak to survive the trauma You learn to keep a poker face Let everyone know you are ok Nobody sees the scared broken girl underneath All they see Happy Healthy They don't see The tears The pain The countless nights crying herself to sleep But in the morning She gets up She wipes her face free of the tear stains And goes out into the world Where she does that routine all over again If only her life was like her fantasies Loyal friends, parents who understands Someone to share with And so, She gets lost in her fantasies
