lost in dreams
A phantom face, once etched in mind, Now lost in shadows, hard to find. A constant presence, eyes that gazed, Though love unrequited, a bond was made. A flicker fades, a memory's ghost, The features blur, a figure lost. In darkness, where emotions hide, A longing lingers, deep inside. Was it love, or just a dream? A fleeting image, a sunbeam. I held it close, this cherished sight, Though knowing yours was never quite. But in the void, where shadows fall, A fragment whispers, "I recall." A whisper faint, a gentle call, The face, the feeling, remembers all. Though time may pass, and memory fade, The echo lingers, unafraid. For love, once felt, can never die, It lives within, a silent sigh.
