Lost Dreamer
The skies grow grey and dark on my hopes. How can I keep holding on when there's no rope? I keep searching through the mountains and the valleys all on my own, but the more I do the more I feel alone. All I want is to see the sun shining through the darkness, but all I feel is everything but bliss. Am I lost? How should I know? I am a young soul who knows nothing of the world. Am I unrealistic? Am I foolish? How should I know? I am only just a young soul diverted into two worlds. If you will let me, allow me to follow you. Show me what it's like to be free from the nest. Show me what it's like to yearn for rest. I'll do whatever it takes to find my way. I want to see that day when I have grown my wings and will fly away. But for now, I remain on the ground. Left with nothing but echoing sounds. Voices that remind me of my limitations. Thoughts that pull me into a rotation. But how will I find my way? For I am only a lost dreamer.
