Lost Childhood
Lost Childhood At 18, I miss my childhood days, Dreams of simpler times, lost in a haze. I wanted to laugh, play, and run, But my home wasn’t a place for fun. Instead of games, I heard fights, Loud shouts filling the nights. I longed for peace, for moments sweet, But chaos was all I’d meet. People say I’m immature now, But they don’t see, they don’t know how. I grew up fast in a world so loud, Dreams hidden behind a dark cloud. I wanted to be carefree, wild, To enjoy life like any child. But my youth slipped away too soon, Caught in the family’s harsh tune. Now, I hold onto those dreams, Of a peaceful childhood, or so it seems. I’m not immature, just wishing still, For the childhood dreams I couldn’t fulfill.
