Lost beneath the sea
Crystal waters all around, No trace of land to be found. Drifting deep in endless blue, Chasing skies of starry hues. A flicker of hope still guides my way, Yet waves pull me too far to stay. The night above so calm, so wide, While I am lost beneath the tide. A mighty wave comes crashing through, Dragging me where light is few. My eyes blur, my breath turns weak, The shore I longed for is far too bleak. And if, by fate, I reach the land, Would I still know how to stand? So long I've swayed within the sea, Would land still feel like home to me, When beneath the waves I’m meant to be? The sea that held me all along, Shall sing for me its farewell song.
