LOST
In this room, so quiet, I breathe alone, A hollow space where warmth has flown. The walls are whispers, cold and gray, And all the light seems far away. No voices calling, no laughter near, Just shadows stretching, raw with fear. I thought I'd find peace in this place, But loneliness wears a stranger's face. The days bleed into nights so still, No hand to hold, no love to fill. The miles between us, sharp and wide, Leave echoes of the ones I’ve tried to hide. The silence speaks of who I've lost, Of every friendship, every cost. They drift like leaves in winds I can't control, And leave behind an empty soul. I long for touch, a familiar sound, But all I hear is how I'm bound By distance, grief, and restless dreams, Where nothing’s ever as it seems. Home feels distant, like a shore I once stood on, but can’t reach anymore. And in this ache, I fall and fade, A piece of me forever betrayed.
