LOSS & LONGING
Life has taken the most precious pieces from me, But in the process, I’ve discovered the art of holding on. I’ve learned to cherish the broken parts that remain, To mend and rebuild what remains. I’ve realized loss is a part of life; However, it’s the love we hold that makes life worth living. Many things have slipped away from me, And I’ve lost count of those things that are gone, Yet, I’ve found solace in what remains. The memories, the love, the laughter, and the tears— Through all the years, these are the things that belong to me. In the end, it’s not what we lose, but what we hold That defines us and makes our story unfold. Now I hold dear what truly belongs to me.
