LOSS
LOSS, the thief that you are, so sly, You snatched my best friend, I can't deny. Then grief, your hound, with mournful cry, Took what was left, beneath a darkened sky. Protection fled, paranoia's sting, While insomnia's nights, their dark songs sing. My speech, once bold, now stutters cling, And tears, once free, no solace bring. LOSS, you plunder, leave me bare, A hollow shell, beyond repair. Return what's lost, if you still care, Or leave me be, in my despair.
