Loss
Loss is a stone dropped in a river, It's the lantern snuffed in the night, The blackbird silenced mid-song, The empty chair at dinner, the vacant side of the bed. Still, we gather the fragments, Of memories resonating around us, bury them deep in our hearts, to carry on. For loss is a thread- in the tapestry of life.
